The fund strives to substantially impact the early-stage investment landscape in Finland, fostering a more expansive and diverse Nordic investment ecosystem while providing enhanced funding opportunities for promising early-stage companies. These combined investments can significantly increase funding for startups, providing enhanced opportunities for creating growth at an early stage.

Meet the lecturers

Janne Juhola

Janne Juhola is a partner at the venture capital firm Innovestor. He has over 17 years of experience in startup investing in Finland. For the first 10 years, he worked as a manager at Veraventure and then as a Partner at Innovestor. Janne has made dozens of investments in early-stage companies together with angel investors and venture capital funds. He has successfully exited several technology, software, and fashion companies. Before his career in venture capital, Janne worked as a financial manager at Finnvera and as a controller at Kone Corporation. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Lappeenranta University of Technology.

Hannu Jungman

Partner at Innovestor Venture Capital

Hannu Jungman is a partner at the venture capital firm Innovestor, bringing over 15 years of experience in startup investment. His career in this field began in 2008 at Veraventure, where he also managed angel network InvestorExtra, the precursor to FiBAN, gaining extensive expertise in working with angel investors and syndicating deals. Prior to his venture capital endeavors, Hannu gained valuable experience in technology transfer and entrepreneurship. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management (Strategy), from Tampere University of Technology.

Anna Bernitz

Director, Legal & Compliance at Innovestor

Anna leads the legal and compliance functions at Innovestor Group, a Finnish investment company specializing in venture capital and real estate. Before joining Innovestor, Anna worked as an advisor, assisting a diverse clientele primarily with regulatory finance and corporate law matters. She also held outsourced compliance and general counsel positions. Anna finds her current in-house role both rewarding and challenging, as each day brings new and exciting opportunities while working with inspiring, passionate individuals.
